Quang Nguyen
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Nguyen has 25 years of experience in telecom, network equipment development, and mainframe computer design. He joined Polaris from day one, participated in initial architecture, selection of critical ASICs, and development of the OMX. Prior to Polaris Networks, Mr. Nguyen joined StrataCom (later acquired by Cisco) to architect and design the industry’s first full-featured ASIC for ATM ABR, and later managed an ASIC team to develop the OC-192 ATM chip set. He also managed many customer trials with Tier1 customers. Prior to StrataCom/Cisco, he worked at Amdahl Corporation to developed ASICs for IBM-compatible mainframes and managed various design teams. His innovative work has resulted in 10 patents granted. Mr. Nguyen received his graduate degree (MSEE) from Stanford University and undergraduate degree (BSEE) from San Diego State University.

Henry Shi
Vice President of Software Engineering
Mr. Shi has 20 years of experience in telecom, network equipment development and project management (5 yrs with Polaris).  He has been with Polaris since day one and led the full cycle of OMX software development from concept to product.  Before Polaris, he was a senior technical lead at Cisco for 5 years where he played a key role in the architecture, design and development of products including the 2900 L3 Ethernet switch, 3800 integrated voice/video/data router and CRS terabit routers. Prior to that, he spent 4 years at WindRiver/ISI developing vxWorks/pSOS real-time OS. Mr. Shi has a MSCS degree and a BSEE degree.

Brad R. Falk
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Falk has 23 years experience in the telecommunications industry, during which he held various executive level positions in sales, marketing and product management at Telecom Sales Associates, Kestrel Solutions, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Before joining Polaris Networks his most recent assignment was Vice President of Sales for Kestrel Solutions, a firm manufacturing optical transport products in Mountain View, CA.  Other previous positions include General Manager and Area Vice President for AT&T and Director of Broadband Products for Lucent Technologies.  Prior to these assignments, Mr. Falk held a variety of progressive sales, product management and general management positions within AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Mr. Falk holds graduate degrees from the London School of Economics (M.S.) and Antioch University (M.S) in Business Management.  He also has an undergraduate degree from Tufts University with a B.A. in Economics.
